"Incredible staff"

I had my baby boy at the General at the beginning of May. The thing that stood out to me the most during my experience were the incredible staff members. The midwifery team on ward 31 are absolutely incredible. They took their time to explain things to me, gave me options, made sure I was happy and comfortable, always had a reassuring smile, shared their wealth of knowledge and experience with me and filled me with great confidence in them. Even when the ward became busier, the staff remained calm and supportive, never once did I feel like I was in their way or that they didn’t have time for me.

It was particularly nice to see members of staff who had supported me in my previous pregnancy.

I was also very touched to hear that members of staff had taken time (after their shift was over) to come and see how things were going in my delivery. And on leaving the unit, the members of staff who had taken such great care of me, took the time to come and say goodbye.

I cannot thank the team enough for taking such good care of me and my little boy!
