"I could open up about things I can't easily talk about."

About: Hounslow IAPT

(as the patient),

I met Angella in February 2018, to receive some support for CBT.

I very much enjoyed my sessions, learning about the different methods and techniques used to help with unhelpful thinking and behaviours. Angella was very patient with me, understanding me and was very open-minded about my views and topics discussed.

I found her to be very empathetic and I felt I could open up to her about things I can't easily talk about. I take on all the advice and support she's given me and I am very grateful to have had CBT sessions with her. I greatly appreciate every bit of support given, and am truly grateful to her.

Thank you for sharing your experience of therapy.

It's good to hear that you've learnt so much from CBT and your comment about 'enjoying' your sessions is very refreshing; therapy can be many things including enjoyable!

You clearly had a great therapeutic relationship with Angella through which you could explore your difficulties and learn how to make changes to improve your mood.

I must admit Hounslow IAPT service doesn't have anyone in the team called Angella. Therefore, I will share your comments with Ealing IAPT and Back on Track (both services are provided by West London Mental Health Trust) to check whether Angella is in their team as it would be important for her to receive this lovely feedback.

Thank you for your kind response.

I completely agree with you, therapy can be enjoyable too!

Yes, I feel my therapeutic relationship with Angella helped to open up and discuss issues that affect my moods, and receiving invaluable help and support from her.

Angella is a therapist for Primary Care Plus, just thought I'd let you know.
