I have recently found out that the baby I'm carrying has a congenital heart disorder for which there is no cure. This has been devastating news for both myself and my husband.

As a consequence of this, I booked an appointment to be signed off work. The doctor was extremely understanding, compassionate, caring and supportive during the consultation. I was very impressed with their helpful comments regarding the care I could expect from both the hospital and the surgery and felt reassured and supported at this difficult time.
