"Sincere thanks and admiration"

My sisters and I can't thank you enough for your care and support of our Mum when she was admitted for vascular surgery at the beginning of May.

At 96 her life hung in the balance and the complexities of her surgery and care were considerable.

At no point did she or we feel that her advanced years meant that she was treated any differently to a younger patient.

The surgeon, consultants, ward sister and staff couldn't have been more supportive, gracious, considerate, kind and helpful not only to Mum but also to the family.

We thank you for your skills and humanity.
