Currently in desperate need of a laparoscopy after 6 months of chronic pain resulting in long term absence at work and heavy painkillers. This is really affecting my daily life, trying to raise 2 small children, and I have been told I will be waiting a year from now for this procedure meaning I will be on this high dose of medication during this time and potentially will lose my job. This length of waiting time given my circumstances and pain I am in is completely unacceptable. I am now, unsurprisingly, also on antidepressants.
