On the evening of Thursday 24th May 2018 my 14 month old granddaughter was transported by paramedic car to Sunderland Royal Hospital suffering with breathing difficulties.
On arrival my daughter, granddaughter and myself were immediately attended too and booked in. Within minutes we were shown to a treatment room where upon the nursing staff began with their preliminary examination prior to further tests and doctors diagnosis.
Unfortunately my granddaughter was so poorly she had to be admitted to ward F65 for overnight observation.
Thankfully, due to the expertise of the staff within the emergency department and that of the medical team on the ward, she was discharged on the Friday morning.
My daughter and I cannot praise highly enough the dedication, expertise and care afforded to us during our brief stay.
"Excellent treatment afforded to my granddaughter."
