"Clinically unimportant"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital / Accident and emergency

So I'm waiting here at Whipps Cross to be seen by the GP service. I was told when streamed into the GP queue that I'd have roughly a two hour wait. Figured that wasn't too bad and waited my turn. After two hours had gone by I asked at the desk how much longer I was likely to be waiting only to be told that I'd be waiting another hour (or an unknown amount of time) as other people had been put in front of me as they were more clinically important. I honestly don't understand this. If my need is to see a GP then how can someone else who also needs to see a GP be more important? If you need minors or even emergency care you'd be in a different queue!! Why bother telling me waiting time for my queue if I'm then bumped down the queue? If you're only getting to see a GP then it isn't life or death and presumably the queue should remain static? How is it decided who gets put into the queue and where? Or that it's appropriate for people to be bumped down the queue again and again? Is this what good care looks like? Very disappointed with the service today so far. It's looking like the expectation is that people will wait here all day with only a machine filled with junk food.
