"Will never return as"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I have just spent 9 days in Sunderland Roysl Hospital the majority of which was on Ward C30

Nursing staff were great and looked after patients well however the doctors were completely different

Communication seemed to biggest issue including nao consistency and conflicting information given

I was discharged even though I was in agonising pain and worse symptoms than when I went into hospital and I was told I needed to see a different doctor as an outpatient and an appointment would be made

So in conclusion - I need to see another doctor at Sunderland hospital as an outpatient and this doctor was unable to see me in hospital despite him having been on ward several times when I was there. I left in more pain and discomfort thsnbever and have been to get on with it

Thanks you for your comments. Have you left the ward today? If so there should be some information on your discharge sheets about what to do if you have concerns about pain and discomfort. Please get in touch if you have concerns. I am sorry that you felt communication was not good. we do always strive to keep you informed about your treatment plan and involve you in this as much as possible. To allow us to look into this further can you contact our Help and Advice Service with further details so we can see if there are areas that we need to improve on. Hope you start to feel better soon.
