"A pointless visit!"

A pointless visit to this Minor injuries unit. They really did want to help, did not take any personal details. I walked into an empty waiting room and 2 nurses and a guy were just sat there chatting. Thus is the 2nd time I have experienced this situation (the last time was when I took a friend in). They basically didn’t examine me. Fobbed me off to a hospital out of range ( I could not drive, due to my injury), and gave me an unrealistic time to get there before the specialist department closed. The male member of staff (dressed in civvies) also made a joke referring to my injury as I left, which was pretty cruel tbh! I ended up having to force myself to dangerously drive home (10miles), putting other road users at risk.i called 111, who took my situation seriously, and I was seen by a Doctor In Out Of Hours Cheltenham General, who asked me why I had not been seen earlier. I explained the situation, and she was not surprised, aving dealt with a similar scenario from this hospital before. Due to this delay, my situation and injury is much worse, and I am really disgusted with the service and attitude of the staff at Stratford Minor Injuries. Next time, I will just ring 111 without hesitation.
