On the first night of our first holiday north of Cornwall my wife was taken ill. From the Paramedics to the A&E with the sister to the last day on ward 14,you all performed perfectly for which I am so grateful.
Now over to my wife at this point.
I was very under the weather when I arrived, very high temperature and in a lot of pain.
I was immediately sent for an x-ray which showed that I was suffering from pneumonia and pleurisy.
My treatment was absolutely first class, the staff treated me with compassion and respect.
Lastly to the wonderful staff on ward 14 who made every effort to get me home on time.
Sadly I did not get the name of the male nurse who took my bloods as the phlebotomist could not take them until late in the afternoon which meant that I would not get home.
Also one of the trainee nurses went beyond what was expected.
What wonderful staff and hospital.
"Spectacular is the only word that fits"
