I had the misfortune of caring for Derek all of last year and the first two months of this year. Derek had fractures to his back and had cancer and cirrosis of the liver. During this time Derek had a new GP. This lady was everything you needed - she was very kind to Derek and answered all the questions I asked some of which were blunt ! When the doctor was unavailable - a different doctor came to see Derek - this lady was also very kind and caring.
Both these ladies made a great difference to Derek and I. And I think they are great ambassadors for the NHS
