"My experience on ward 14"

About: Solihull Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I came in for day surgery and after my operation I was taken to ward 14 to be observed for 4 hours which is usual after having anaesthetic. After my 4 hours the nurse has noticed my blood pressure wasn’t improving and advised me to stay the night. Being a young girl I was very emotional and upset about having to stay overnight by myself. The nurses on ward 14 was so lovely and helpful throughout my whole experience. I didn’t manage to catch there names but would love to thank them for all the help and support I received while being on the ward x

Dear Shankellie

It is lovely to read that staff on ward 14 was able to reassure you during your stay on the ward and that all the staff were so supportive.

I appreciate that being an inpatient can be a very worrying and anxious time; however I am pleased that it was made easier by the dedication and the professionalism of the staff.

I will forward your posting to the relevant senior management team. In addition, I will ask that your posting is shared with the relevant staff, as I am sure they will be delighted to read your positive comments.

Best wishes
