"Fixing the control on my wheelchair"

About: WestMARC (West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre)

(as a service user),

The control on my electric wheelchair was broken so I called up and Alan came out to fix it, so that's me up and running again. He is always really helpful and lovely.

Around six weeks ago I needed to call the West Marc team but it was really difficult to get through, every time I rang there was a recorded message saying that the phones were busy and to try again later. It ended up taking me three days to get through. Luckily that didn't happen this time.

I just wanted say how helpful and nice Alan is, he always goes over and above to try and help you, it's great.

Thank you very much for posting your story on Care Opinion.

I would like to apologise for the challenge you found getting through to the administration team and to explain that we have been experiencing high call volumes particularly around the bank/ public holidays. This has meant that all our team members have been working very hard to try and make sure that all calls coming in are being answered.
