"Fracture Clinic"

About: Peterborough City Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Broke my ankle so visit to the fracture clinic was on the cards and I applause this department as they are under enormous pressure as always busy. My treatment however was exemplary from the receptionist through to the overstretched nurses with average waiting time with an appointment around 90 minutes my only criticism is that you need to have an X-ray before the clinic will see you and if that is the case maybe the patient should go to X-ray first rather than to the clinic then X-ray then back to clinic. That’s the only improvement I can see that could speed things up but overall a very good department
