My husband spent a total of seven weeks on Tiptree Ward, towards the end of last year.
The majority of the staff were wonderful, listening to our opinions, which were taken into account, when planning treatment and care. The dieticians and Speech therapists were very caring and carried out their care with kindness and consideration. The catering staff came to see us to discuss my husband's diet and did their up most to meet his needs. The medical staff were open and honest and my feelings and wishes were taken into account. I was allowed to participate in his care, as this was important to us, as I had been his carer for over 7 years.
Unfortunately, my husband died in the 22nd December but treatment was continued to the end of his life, which the family and I very much appreciated.
The staff made a very difficult situation easier to deal with and I'm sure my husband would like me to thank everyone concerned in his care, on his behalf.
We were both treated with kindness and dignity by professional, caring, dedicated staff.
I am sorry for the delay in posting this review but it has not been easy to write.
Thank you all very much.
