"So upsetting"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66)

(as the patient),

Last August/September a tumor was found on my nerve sheath and I was called by the neurology department at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow to say I was to be referred to neurosurgeon immediately to see about removal.

Obviously, I was worried and upset. After hearing nothing for 8 weeks I managed to contact the new appointment line for the neurosurgeon to be told the neurosurgeon had looked at my case and I was on a 27 week wait list.

Today I attended my neurosurgery appointment that I have waited 8 months for to speak to them about my tumor, to be told that they couldn't help me and I had been referred to the wrong department and should have been referred to cardiothorasic surgeon.

To say I am upset is an understatement. I have been worried this whole time along with having the stress of another medical issue I am going through.

Now I have to wait for it to be referred back to neurology to be referred back out again and wait on another waiting list for probably months again.

I am really really disappointed about this, it's so upsetting.
