"Excellent HCA service!"

I am writing on behalf of my grandfather who does not speak English very well. After having collapsed yesterday and spending many hours waiting for a bed. His experience with the staff at the Elderly and Frail unit on Thursday, 3rd May 2018 went extremely well and he is set to receive the treatment that he needs. (Bed 47) The HCA who was working today was my grandfather’s rock. She is always quick to help and nonjudgmental with my grandfather and the other patients. She refers to my grandfather as ‘bossman’ which my grandfather finds hilarious and makes him smile as a result. In his own words she is very kind and extremely good at her job. The NHS should employ more people with a similar work ethic. She also helped my grandfather when he was cold threading his intravenous drip through his sleeves in order to prevent lost time with the drip. She is always smiling and it’s clear that she loves her job. The staff at the Elderly and Frail unit have started to take action with my grandfather and his illnesses and we are set to have various tests and scans today. This has been very pleasant. I am astounded by the passion and effort that the HCA puts into her job and she sets an example to her colleagues. It’s very clear that she really does have her patients best interests at hearts. I’m very happy with the service.
