"Urgent Care Louth"

About: County Hospital Louth / Respiratory medicine Louth Community Hospital / Urgent Care Centre (Louth Hospital)

(as a service user),

I went to Louth Urgent care after having to leave my night shift work early due to having shortness of breath, rib and lung pain , combined with a painful cough. I arrived at around 5.30am.

The staff are all extremely friendly and  I felt  I was being taken seriously.

They are very thorough, started with the assessment  which led to X-ray blood tests and a concoction of tablets Nothing was to much trouble.  The longest  wait was for blood tests to come back from Grimsby.  I still think the wait  for those was pretty short when you compare it to regular blood work waits.

The diagnosis came back as a severe chest infection which was heading towards pneumonia had I left it much longer. They had also checked for a lung blood clot.

I have followed the advice given and already feel a lot better.

I seriously can’t thank everyone at Louth Urgent Care enough.
