"Excellent care"

About: University Hospital Ayr / General Medicine

(as the patient),

I recently went to A&E with breathing problems & the care was excellent. I had an x-ray, heart traced, bloods taken &  intravenous antibiotics. I was then admitted to the CAU overnight.

The staff were very attentive & nothing was a bother. I could get something to eat outwith meal times. I was given toiletries as I wasn’t expecting to be kept in. The staff kept asking if I needed anything - they were brilliant. People moan about our NHS but I’ve been in Private hospitals & not been looked after as good as this, we don’t realise how lucky we are.

Dear Green Godess

Thank you so much for your positive feedback regarding your experience within the ED and CAU at Ayr Hospital. I can only imagine how frightening it must have been for you.

I feel very privileged to work with a team of staff who are committed to providing excellent care for our patients.

I will ensure that the clinical teams are made aware of your feedback as I know important it is to them.

I hope that you are continuing to make a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

John
