"cancelled appointments and long wait in between"

The last time I attended the hand clinic was in October last year. Since then, I have been waiting for my next appointment. 

The first was scheduled for January but was cancelled. The next one wasn't due for another 11 weeks (late July). The day before the appointment, somebody called and said this one had to be cancelled because there wasn't going to be any available hand consultants to see me that day! My partner had booked  the next day off work too.
Nobody sent me another apt, so I had to call and request one 2 weeks later. 
Then I was told the earliest I could be seen was 2nd August. I called my consultants secretary to see if there was anything sooner as I am now in terrible hand pain. She managed to arrange one for mid july but this still means I  have been waiting with 6 months of cancellations and waiting time getting longer and longer.
Love the hospital and have always been very happy with the care I have received but appointment waiting times are getting longer and longer. I did email PALS but didn't receive a response so have given up.

I am sorry that you have had such a difficult time with your appointments and I am surprised to hear that PALS have not responded to you. Can you check the e-mail address that you used and resend to roh.tr-PALS@nhs.net if you discover an error. You can also contact me directly to discuss your concerns further.
