"Very grateful for excellent care"

About: Northern General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I spent several hours in A & E one Friday night/Saturday morning. Yes, I was on a trolley but I was perfectly comfortable and in fact my wife was happier because it meant she was able to stay with me. Also there were nurses & doctors immediately available.

I don't remember a great deal about it but my wife, whose standards are exacting, was very impressed by my care & the treatment of others.

I was eventually transferred to AMU where again I was treated with every care.

It seems ungrateful to criticize anything after such a positive experience but I have to say the food was awful! not a patch on the Hallamshire! but that's a small point.

Thank you for leaving feedback and sharing your experience although we are sorry you were unwell and needed to attend A&E. Your kind and positive words will mean a great deal to the staff concerned who do strive to provide high quality care and treatment. We will provide your feedback regarding to the food to the catering team to make them aware.

With thanks and all best wishes for your recovery
