I suffer from severe migraines and have done for several years now. Since January my migraines have been getting worse as the days go on. I went to monklands hospital and was needing relief from this pain. I was see by a doctor who when I first went in asked what the problem was. I explained my situation and they offered pain relief which was oral morphine, aspirin and paracetamol which I had already explained would not work. The Doctor continued to tell me to wait a few hours in a& e to see if this would work. When they came back about 1 hour later they asked me what I would like to do. I couldn’t even responded, I am not a doctor and do not know what could help. I continued to tell them the pain was excruciating. I felt they were not interested in in my condition or were in anyway helpful.
