"Boating Accident"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Accident and emergency

Having fallen in my small dinghy on Sunday April 22nd. I fell and severely gashed my leg on the fibreglass centreboard slot.

After brilliant help from first an ex first responder and then the ambulance paramedic I was advised that I would need to go to A&E.

The A&E staff couldn't have been kinder. I received cheerful and efficient treatment from the nurses and the doctor- who made a great job of an intricate stitching task.

THANK YOU KINGS LYNN A&E

Thank you for posting your comments about your experience in the Emergency department over the weekend. I am glad that you received good attention and help from the outset and that the staff in the Emergency department provided effective and supportive care. I shall share your kind comments with all the team in the Emergency department. I hope that your wound is quick to heal and that you can be back on the water again while we still have sunshine!
