"Waited over 4 hours, no information, very..."

About: Rowley Hall Hospital

Looking forward to my foot surgery by an excellent surgeon. Arrived at 7am, and shown to a cubicle, I enquired when I was likely to go in for my surgery and was told "I think you are second in", I waited for 4 hours +, then informed the nurse of this fact, she replied "yes it takes a time" but offered no update information. How long would I have to wait? 6 or 8 or 10 hours what is their acceptable waiting time. by now I was extremely frustrated and angry and decided to leave. I was stopped half way out and asked if I would like to talk to the ward manager, by this time I was furious and knew that I would have been rude to her I therefor declined. I am also very upset and offer my sincerest apologise to the surgeon for the inconvenience I have caused him.

What do I do now?, start again with my GP I believe is my only option.
