This surgery apparently is decades behind in administration and communications. They keep most of the appointments as 'emergency appointments' and only release them at 08:00AM for the same-day so that patients have to go there twice, first time in a queue early morning, like former soviet union!
They don't bother about the patients' waste of time and inconvenience for doing so. Patients' time is worthless to them
I complained about this in person, but they say they do this because patient do not attend the bookings they make by phone or online. This means that they are punishing all patients because some may not use their booked appointments! The surgery could simply ban such patients (the ones missing bookings) from their advanced booking system and ask them to come on the day, but not everybody! This is a simple admin task that they are not able to do and impose so much inconvenience to the patients. The front-office manager rudely ignored my proposal and said that's how they work and I can go somewhere else!
