"ICU"

About: Derriford Hospital

I was admitted as an emergency , suffering dreadful pain which turned out to be a perforated duodenal ulcer , in a life threatening stage . The long and complex surgery was difficult for 70 year old to cope with, but I came through and spent a couple of days in ICU before being transferred to a ward for two weeks . The staff in ICU were so kind to me , way and beyond the call of duty, just wonderful and I cannot thank them enough for this .

The Matron for Critical Care has responded to say:

I am delighted to receive such positive feedback regarding the care you received whilst on Intensive Care.

I have shared your comments with our nursing and medical teams so they might see just what a difference the efforts they make have to patients in our care.

I was incredibly proud to read this so thank you for taking the time to feedback.
