"Montagu Hospital"

About: Montagu Hospital / General surgery

I attended Rockingham Day Unit on the 3rd April 2018. I had to have a wisdom tooth removed. I was admitted by a nurse. She talked to me as if she was a police officer on television, interrogating me by asking repeat questions in an hostile manner. She made an error with my file, informing me that I was there for treatment previously carried out. When I pointed this out, she unprofessionally accused me of signing the wrong form! I said that I wanted to complain to a Manager, she smirked and suddenly said she had found the correct form for the treatment that I said I was there for. She did not apologise and behaved in a harsh manner.

Thank you for taking the time feedback following your recent appointment at Montagu Hospital. We are truly sorry the attitude from a member of staff was not of the standard we expect. We pride ourselves on the high quality of care delivered by our staff and are disappointed that this was not the case in your situation.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns further with you and if you would like to contact us it would enable the Trust to look into your concerns. If you feel this would be useful please contact the Trust’s Patient Experience Team on Freephone 0800 028 8059 or by e-mail: dbth.pals.dbh@nhs.net.

Regards

Gill
