"Never interested in my health care"

About: Dr M Goyal's Practice

Have been registered with this clinic for the past 11 years. I had the same medical problems since I registered (anaemia and recurring tonsilities), not once a doctor properly looked at what my be the cause, every time a finally get an app I’m always brushed off home with painkillers and paracetamol.

I went there this morning after Bank holiday weekend (at 9am) told the receptionist I got tonsilities again, the receptionist told me to go to the pharmacist, they have no more appointments and maybe try my luck again and call again at2pm.

Also I have been put on a waiting list for an app with a Dr. (family planning clinic) in January, it’s April and no response.

A non existent service from my experience.

Dear patient,

We are very sorry to hear you were unable to get an appointment at the practice on this day. Unfortunately one of our clinicians was taken ill and we had to rearrange their appointments. This put immense pressure on our other two available doctors for the day and we had fewer slots to offer for emergency appointments. The NHS has put guidelines in place to make sure we promote and encourage patients to use our pharmacies for any situations that can be self medicated to avoid the unnecessary use of antibiotics.

You may have been invited to call back later for an afternoon emergency slot if the Pharmacist had been unable to help you and informed about extra appointments available at the local GP Hub service.

With regards to family planning service, we have only one doctor who is able to undertake family planning procedures; however our nurses, pharmacist and other GPs are able to provide you with any simple family planning advice you may require. Our waiting list policy is on a first come first serve basis and we go through the list to offer appointments. If we were unable to get hold of you then the appointment would be offered to the next person and so it may feel like you have been waiting for an appointment for a long time. Please do ensure we have your up to date contact details to make sure you do not miss any calls from us.

You have not left any contact details so I am unable to help you any further in this matter; if you would like to contact me directly, I can look into how we can help you get the care you need.

Please contact us if you do have any further questions on 0208 465 3000. Jahanara our practice manager or I would be happy to help you.

Kind Regards

Sian Ridgewell

Practice Administrator
