"Poor reception and phone response"

About: The Whiteley Surgery

Went to the surgery today to see nurse (removal of stitches), very friendly and efficient great service. When finished went to reception to book an appointment to see doctor for problem with hand and to review my blood pressure tablets as paramedics have told me there is possible problem on ECG. Basically receptionist asked me what problems were and reasons to see doctor (surely this is personal), however given appointment for hand but wouldn't give me time for medication issue, told a doctor would phone me on same day!!! Surely it would be quicker to see doctor for both issues at same time.

When phoning for appointments phone rings but is rarely answered, service is definitely getting worse, mainly due to reception.

Originally I was at Locks Road surgery, a short walk away, when it closed I had to go to Whiteley surgery. When I tried to join Lockswood surgery, again short walk away, I was told they were not taking patients from Locks Heath but they would take them from Warsash, which is much further away!!! I can only assume local surgeries agreed not to take patients from Locks Road surgery for fear Whiteley would lose too many patients.
