"Breast Clinic care that could not have been better"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Breast Clinic

(as the patient),

I recently found a change in my breast, instantly terrified and worried, fearing the worst as most women do. My visit to the clinic was surreal. The clinic area was full of silent scared women.

The nuses were kind, professional and very aware of our stress. The consultant was just superb. He was professional and reassuring. I was examined and sent for my first ever mammogram and ultrasound.

I cant overstate how fantastic the radiographer her CSW were. They explained everything clearly and instantly put me at ease, how they did that ill never know.

The consultant radiologist was just wonderful he had already looked and reported my mammogram and told me the results straight away. He went on to show me my ultrasound images and further reassure me.

All these staff work together to ensure worried patients are investigated quickly and have their diagnosis as soon as possible. Unless youve been in this position you will never know how much it is appreciated.

This entire process took just over 1 hour. I cannot imagine anywhere in the world where this could have been done any faster or better let alone for free.

Please pass on my genuine gratitude and how impressed I was by the entire team working as one for the patient. I will never forget it
