"A friend's surgery"

As a result of a slight mistake, admitted to by the surgeon, my friend had to undergo a second surgical procedure. 

He has now had to have two drains in his bowel area, rather than one; a check up appointment was cancelled at very short notice, he had not received a letter to inform him of this; he has not so far been offered any physiotherapy through Colchester University Hospital; he was in considerable pain on presenting himself for the cancelled appointment, so then had to go to his GP for help.

All in all I feel he has not been well looked after by the hospital. What are your comments?
