I had half my thyroid removed, following the findings of a suspicious nodule, last week. I just want to put those about to go through this surgery minds at rest. From arriving in the morning to going home the next day i felt well looked after, informed and comfortable. I had a fairly long wait as i had to be there for 7 am and did not have surgery until the afternoon but the waiting area was pleasant, the staff hardworking and kind and the wait is just something that simply cannot be helped . The ward was clean and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely nurses and staff following my operation. I also had a parathyroidectomy on the same ward last year and my experience then was just the same.
I cannot fault anything and am grateful for the care I received in J23.
"Very well taken care of"
