"No communication"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

Elderly confused mum taken to urgent care via ambulance I followed in car

Gave mums details at reception and was anxious to go to mum

Was told by reception I was not allowed until the nurse had finished with her tests

I expressed my concern that mum couldn't walk and needed hoist to get in and out of bed

When I finally got to mum she had been lifted manually and it hurt so my message is do not be the judge of what is in best interest of a patient listen to relatives

Insult to injury throughout transfers during the day this happened to my mum whenever a relative not around

Disgusting dignity and caring you do not know the meaning of the words!

We are saddened to read this and would ask you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01772 522972 who can give you the information on how to raise a concern with the Urgent Care Centre.
