"Saddened by colposcopy approach"

I was understandably nervous about having a colposcopy and was very much hoping I would have an even slightly considerate consultant, unfortunately i couldn’t have had someone worse. The older lady who saw me was abrupt, rude and treated me with very little respect or dignity. I should have left feeling relieved but instead just upset with how unprofessional the experience was. I had a leaflet thrown at me as I left and that was as much help as I was offered. I asked two simple questions whilst there and both were given very negative, abrupt responses. Heaven knows how bad news is broke by this lady. The nurses were absolutely wonderful, kind, considerate and also, aware.
