I came in for a blood test. I arrived 5 minutes before they opened and was out about 40 minutes later.
I saw both of the members of staff because they struggled to find a vein, but I just wanted to say how wonderful in particular the male doctor who saw me was. I don't know his name. Even when I cried he did a great job of talking to me, telling me basically not to be silly (but obviously much nicer than that). He was a fantastic man.
I just think it's important. I dread going to the doctor's because I have this idea that the NHS is always so busy (which they are) that there's no time for anyone to be nice and I'll just be made to feel like I'm in the way wasting people's time. This man made me feel very safe and very valued, and that's what the NHS should stand for.
