"Humiliated!"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Whilst the staff are good there was no information given re waiting times when i was referred as an emergency by my Dr for an I&d of a thrombosed hemorrhoid. Then i was shocked & horrified to discover i would be seen in the waiting room with other people only 8ft away & me on a trolly behind a fabric screen. Everyone heard my personal business (as i heard theirs) & besides feeling humiliated i cannot believe this doesn't breach some form of patient confidentuality! Surely a local chippie could put up cubicles for a few hundred popounds so i do not think it's a matter of would i rather have been seen or not! No where even to hang my clothes had to put them on the floor & had to undress lower half infront of 2 men before the nurse came in with a blanket. Disgraceful & humiliating!
