I am in my 70s and since 2001 I have had a number of medical problems including aortic valve replacement which requires Warfarin management for life. The cardiologist Dr Barr and his team are first rate, you will not find a more dedicated and professional team anywhere.
Both my wife and I have over the years had various operations for one complaint or the other and on every occasion have had excellent medical treatment and been treated with dignity and respect.
Over the last couple of years I have experienced problems with my eyesight which required cataract replacement in both eyes. While you may be at the hospital for some time the actual operation takes no more than a quarter of an hour. When you see for yourself the constant stream of patients being treated everyday of the year then you have to admire the dedication of all the staff involved.
I do not think from our own experiences you could have received better treatment at any other NHS Hospital.
