We are regular attendees at the Tuesday Glaucoma clinic with my mother. She is advancing in years and the hospital is amongst one of her days out.
The clinic is always really busy and sometimes our appointment is a little behind schedule. However we have been blessed to have the most wonderful consultant, Mr Stead, take over the care of mum.
Even though he is clearly a very busy man he always makes time to talk to mum and make a little joke which always cheers her up. He really is quite an exceptional person and a credit to the hospital.
