My father was due to undergo field tests prior to his ophthalmology appointment and was contacted the day before to cancel the fields. I spoke to the appointments clerk as I was under the impression the fields were required and queried whether the consultant would see him without the fields.I was assured he would be seen without although he would have attend at another time for the fields.
This wasn't ideal but as my father was anxious to see someone over his eyes I didn't change the appointment..
You can imagine my annoyance when he attended to be told he wouldn't be seen without the fields!!!
