"Horrible experience"

About: Hillingdon Hospital / Maternity

Avoid at any cost giving birth at Hillingdon Hospital. That was the worst experience of my life. They were two busy to look after me. Was supposed to be induced at 10 pm on Sunday, but they only managed to do that at 2 pm the following day, when the baby was actually coming out, because they didn’t have a spare delivery room. But when I finally gave birth at 4pm, they kept me in that delivery room until 11 pm for no reason, while other people were giving birth in ordinary rooms.

Now facing another issues with the baby. To do a blood test for the baby you need to wait 1 month!!! That’s rediculuos! Something needs to be changed in that hospital, as we don’t get the healthcare we deserve

I can only apologise if you feel the maternity care you received at Hillingdon was not as you expected. If you would like to contact me on the labour ward I would be very pleased to go through your notes with you and see where you felt we fell below standards and see if there are any explanations available. Obviously the maternity unit does have very busy spells and delays are unavoidable, hopefully this was communicated with you at the time.

Labour ward manager
