"Totally taken care of"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I had a wee fall in November and I have a pacemaker. I felt I should get check over by the Physiologist.  The Physiology people checked me out and said this is ok to be checked out by the GP.  I said that I find it hard to get an appointment at the GP but the Physiologist called them and got me one very quickly.

When I went for my appointment at the GP I became unwell with an angina attack.  They called an ambulance and the ambulance people were great.  They took me to Crosshouse A&E and I then went to the Ambulatory to be monitored and was discharged later the following evening.

I have nothing but praise for everyone.  I was totally taken care of and the food was excellent

Dear Pavokz46,

I hope you have recovered from your fall. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.

Our colleagues in cardiac physiology are amazing aren't they? They always seem to go the extra mile for their patients and I was pleased to hear they managed to get you an appointment with your GP. It's just a shame you ended up being unwell and having to come back to hospital!

I am pleased that you felt taken care of in our department and in the ambulatory care unit. This is of course what we are there to do.

Today has been a particularly busy day in our department and so receiving this positive feedback will be a great boost for our team. I will pass your comments on to our colleagues in cardiac physiology, the catering department and ambulatory care unit.

Claire

Dear Pavokz46,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story on Care Opinion. It sounds like you have had quite a distressing time. I am glad to read that you were treated well by the staff and our partners in NHS Scotland. We appreciate your kind words.

I hope that you have recovered from your fall and that your angina is back under control. If you would like, I can pass on your kind words to the crew and their manager. In order to do this, if you could email scotamb.feedback@nhs.net and let us know your name and where and roughly when our ambulance attended and I can arrange this.

I wish you all the best and thanks again.

Alan
