"Care of my son"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

My son was admitted to critical care/intensive care last Thursday after being involved in a road traffic accident, whilst he was actually on the adult intensive care unit I cannot praise the staff enough, they were thoughtful and kind at all times they provided us with a room to rest pillows to use at my sons bedside, nothing was to much trouble.Sadly my son lost his fight and as family and friends arrived to say their goodbyes we were given refreshments and most importantly privacy to be with our loved one until the end, it didn't end there, the staff took a hand prints (lock of hair not possible) of my son and and put them in cards this wasn't something I expected but greatly appreciative of it and at no time did they rush us to leave........I will be eternally grateful for the care and service all the staff provided to my son and us his family....thank you

Thank you Jane for sharing your experience at such a difficult time for yourself and your family. We send our condolences to you and your family and appreciate your very moving words, which I have shared with the team on critical care.

We are all thinking of you.
