Unless the condition is really serious, you are only offered appointment 7 days ahead.
When you do get an appointment the time allowed is 2 mins but sometimes the Dr will overrun that period. And that is after the minimum period of 7 days
Following a hospital visit, where the consultant sends a letter for GP action, it takes 2 weeks to get the letter scanned in and on the practice system.
Until then there is no point getting an appointment.
The practice nurses dealing with diabetes only see the patient every 12 months!!
Some of the GP's are sometimes only there for 12-15 months.
