I am under the care of the falls team at the Queen Elizabeth in Glasgow and a care worker came today with a new wheelchair for me and a frame for my bed to help me get up (which is also a help for my husband with his two new hips).
I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything you have done. The colleague that came, I can’t remember her name, was so helpful. They have given me my life back.
It was my district nurse who put me in touch with the falls team. I was under Southern for 19 years for my rheumatoid arthritis and had a 16 year old wheelchair. They told me they thought I deserved a new wheelchair! The leg was falling off my old one and it was all scratched, it was one of those old red ones. The new one is lovely! I can now get out and about with my family. Thank you again
