"A credit to their professions"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I went into labour in the middle of the night at home, knowing that my baby was breech. I contacted Ward 3 in Elgin and was advised to go straight in. All of the staff were amazing, they made sure that we were kept informed of what was happening, prepared both my husband and I for what to expect from surgery and the after care was outstanding. They all helped put us at ease in a scary situation and despite being very busy delivered really great care. I'd like to especially thank Lisa the midwife and Lori in theatre, both of them are a credit to their professions.

Dear Miss Lew,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you for this lovely feedback.

It is fantastic to hear that the midwifery staff and theatre staff kept you informed and cared for you so well. I am glad to hear that the information they gave you prepared you to deal with the very frightening experience of having an emergency caesarean section.

I will make sure that the midwife and nurse that you mention by name are shown this feedback and given your thanks.

I wish you and your family well for the future.

Warmest regards

Lynn Cameron.
