"Lost Blood Tests"

About: Orpington Hospital

Attended phlebotomy clinic on Friday 16 February 2018. Had to take 93 year old mother with me as she has advanced dementia.

I could hardly walk as had seriously inflamed and swollen knee. My GP wanted blood test to determine if it was gout or a flare up of my psoriatic arthritis which I have suffered from fo over 20 years. I waited 90 minutes as department was very busy.

To cut a long story short I was informed by my GP on Friday 2 March that Orpington Hospital

have lost my test results and I will have to repeat the tests before they can determine the best treatment to help me.

Thanks very much Orpington Hospital for prolonging my pain!

We are so sorry to hear that your blood tests were lost and can only apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and I will pass on your comments to the service.
