"Responsive team"

About: Springfield University Hospital (London)

(as a student nurse),

The team was very responsive to the patients who contacted via telephone and those that were referred, but there seems to be a big caseload. The team are professional, and every case is given the priority it deserves.

I was very impressed by the two consultants and the openness they showed all the time – very approachable to discuss patients.

The learning environment was good but I found that the skills I had to learn were few and would have preferred to start with a ward placement.

Dear septembermw39

My name is Farai and I am the Engagement and Experience Co-ordinator for the Trust. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your time on placement. I am glad that even though the area you were placed would not have been your first choice, you were still able to learn from this environment.

I have spoken the placements team and they have assured me that they will always give a variety of placements during the academic course. Every student will have a mix of community and ward based clinical environments therefore there are always opportunities to take part as well as in outreach days to learn skills in a variety of environments whilst on placements.

I wish you all the best with your studies.

Kind regards

Farai

I wish to thank you all for being kind to me in my quest for knowledge during my placement with the CWWB team

You were supportive and professional at all times whenever I approached any members of the team. I enjoyed working with you.

During home visits I felt respect, care and compassion the team exhibited. The concerns of the patients were being listened to and I learnt one thing one thing, good care maybe hard to describe but one can spot good care when they witness or see it in action.
