I had a minor problem and wanted some advice, so I submitted a Online Consultation Form.

I received an immediate response stating that I would be contacted the next day either by telephone or email, but if my condition became worrying to either telephone the surgery,111 or 999.

By 11 am the next morning I received an email to contact the surgery on the Same Day Care Team telephone number.

I got an appointment for the same afternoon at the Waterlooville Health Centre where I saw the Paramedic, they diagnosed the problem and after confirmation with GP, who issued a prescription, I was on my home happy with the service that I had received.

Would well recommend, if you can, using the Online Consultation Service for Minor Issues.

Thank you for painting the picture so well of the e-consultation process.

Each day a GP is allocated time to respond to all e-consultation requests, enabling a quick response. As you correctly comment, the service is only for non-urgent care situations, but it does allow another avenue for accessing general advice from our team. This is proving particularly popular with patients wishing to contact us outside of our core hours of Mon - Fri 08:00 - 18:30.
