"Terrible"

About: Newbridge Surgery

I called the surgery as I am travelling to Vietnam next week.

I have already received vaccinations and the nurse advised malaria tablets were not needed as the risk is low.

Over the weekend there has been a lot in the news about malaria in Vietnam, so I called the surgery who wouldnt even allow me to have a phone appointment with the nurse to check whether malaria tablets are actually needed.

The receptionist wasn't polite, and I felt like they didnt care at all about me as a patient.

I wouldn't recommend.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not get the appointment you wanted with the nurse. Unfortunately we are short staffed with nursing appointments at the moment so when this happens we are forced to prioritise the care the nurses can give and provision of NHS services have to come first over private services such as travel advice. I apologise that this was not explained adequately and hope you managed to secure the advice you needed from a private provider prior to your travel. Should you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact me.
