My husband had a suspected TIA and after calling 111, paramedics arrived and took him to A&E at the N&N. We were quickly welcomed, registered etc.
Considering the full waiting room, he was seen quickly and efficiently. All possible tests were carried out with care, dignity and an explanation of what was happening and why.
After several hours he was pronounced well enough to go home - but not before medication was given and information about further treatment.
This is our second visit in 8 months and both times we have felt privileged to be cared for by a team of professionals who could not have done more to help and re-assure him.
We don't understand why the media only seem to focus on negatives.
Of course we know the pressure staff are under but we were not aware of this in our time there.
We have every confidence in our NHS and are lucky to have such a wonderful hospital close by. Thank you all.
"Wonderful care from start to finish. Many..."
